My favorite time of year…when NYC public tennis courts open! The NYC public parks tennis season generally runs from the first Saturday in April to the Sunday before Thanksgiving, making the $100 seasonal permit a bargain. So whether you head to Yankees Stadium or Citi Field for baseball, or Madison Square Garden or Barclay’s Center for basketball, or Yankee Stadium for the NYCFC…or even just try and watch them all on TV at a bar, there’s no doubt, cheering for a NYC Sports team is one of the most fun things to do in April. But, April is particularly exhilarating as we usually have at least one, if not more, hockey ( Rangers and Islanders) and basketball ( Knicks and Nets) teams in the playoffs along with renewed hope for the just beginning Mets and Yankees baseball seasons. Watching any of our professional sports teams is a NYC must-do all year round.
